Who am I???

I have been labeled many things in my life in relation to media. Some refer to me as a film buff, a gamer and I've even been called "Mr. IMDB" in some occasions. Rather than stick to just one of the mentioned labels,  I like to think that all of these labels contribute to what I think of myself as a whole. When it comes to any news relating to movies or games, I'm usually the first one to post about it on Facebook or Tumblr for the rest of my friends to see.
Media plays a major part in my life and it comes in many forms. For example, I get my news from CNN, Yahoo, and the Huffington Post online. In addition, I catch up on episodes of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report on Hulu. Many of the news stories I hear about also come from Philip Defranco on Youtube. On my way to school, I always manage to pick up a copy of AM New York or Metro. I often stick with AM New York for my news in printed form. Lastly, coming from a Hispanic family, my parents often watch the news on Univision and I sometimes watch some of it with them.
My future career would most likely be media oriented. I would really like to have a job in the entertainment industry despite the negative connotations that sometimes arise from the industry. Some examples include the exploitation of women and how much money and power the industry truly has. As I stated before, my passion for media and entertainment lies in reporting the news and sharing my thoughts about the news. In addition, I enjoy watching films and reviewing them with my friends.

As stated before, I am also a big fan of video games and I feel this picture sums up my feelings very well. At this point in my life, I am open to trying out new genres of games and movies that I put aside in the past. Here is a link to a review of the Avengers by another Youtube user named Jeremy Jahns. What I like about his reviews is that he seems to strike a good balance of analysis and comedy. This is something that I want to strive for when I start writing reviews or making my own video reviews.
