I consider myself an indulgent observer. I see lifetime
mostly in pauses. I am learning to compose my senses in a poised manner to be
able to send out a meaning. I believe that when we get to understand the
biological aspects of our existence we can recognize our human emotions
therefore it helps us to not feel awkward about them.
Bell Hooks speaks about the punishment of female’s presence
in a rigid authoritarian male gaze. She helps us to defragment our representation
in the large visuals of the mainstream power structure. For my experience there
are times when I find myself interrupting some of my senses to reach certain experiences/pleasures.
For example when I need to have a "break" of the crowded streets, I take off my glasses to
disperse the view. Or when I’m cooking I pay extra attention to my taste.
I feel that mainstream media goes deeper using/consuming our senses. It is a constant saturation to our minds, where
it becomes an instinct to filter out what we think unnecessary.
I’m resetting my modem.
This video looks at some mainstream alternatives for females. Although when the lyrics are muted, the sound and visuals become easy to perceive.
