"Nerd Girl Simulator! The Woman-as-nerd Choose Your Own Adventure Game!" (NGS for short) is a short choose-your-own-adventure game that takes you through the journey and struggles some real life women have faced just because they've decided to actively enjoy comic books!
Inspired by and mirroring real stories of women trying to be heard in geeky mediums, NGS is puts the player in the role of a women who just loves comic books. One day she decides to find some comics written by women, and the lack of representation for the female gender makes itself apparent. Wanting to do something about it, the player chooses his or her own path from fan to possible creator or influencer of the medium. Unfortunately, no matter the choices you make you will run into obstacles that make it harder for a women's voice to be heard in a male dominated sub-culture.
